Start at increaseing the clock speed at about 50mhz, and the memory clock by about 35 and seeing how it goes. Seems it comes overclocked, so you won't have to adjust settings that much. is the GPU i'm currently running: that's basically what the default clock speed on my GTX 750 is. Start off slow, and make sure that if you DO overclock the memory, make it lower than how much your overclocking the first value, and use Precision X located here: It's free, just get the standard edition. I recommend testing it in Unigine Heaven, one of those overclocking applications that lets you test how much your card can take before the video driver crashes. So try bumping it down a bit, my setting is pretty simple and it fixed that CTD BS that i was running into. You may want to play on the best settings but that's just going to keep crashing you if you have a lower end PC. I know it may not sound like a good thing but try lowing your quality for Fallout 4. That didn't work, so i was messing about with the quality settings then BAM no more CTD in the area i was getting crashes from. So i uninstalled all of my mods, that didnt work, tryed reinstalling drivers for gpu and cpu. That is until today when I had the console in "Instant On" mode with the "Shut off storage device when system is off" unchecked (default state) when (while the Quick Resume menu was still empty) the game essentially Quick Resumed. So i was having troubles with the CTD bull crap and i had no clue on to why it was doing so. Consequently, it always performed the typical start up. Your gpu software should have an overlay that will let you see the various memory and tempetures during gameplay to help narrow down the issue. It can start with using 2 to 4 gig depending on the mods we install to hitting over 8 gig by the time we walk from sanctuary hills to the castle. I assumed TW2 being 360 title may have something to do with it.Īnd then a few days ago, I got Mass Effect LE and this time, the title does not even show up in the Quick Resume. With fallout 4 memory use increases the longer we play. I thought that this system level feature independent of third party dev support. Game -> Pause Menu -> Shut down -> Start up -> Game- Generally worked but success rate started to decline over timeĪnd every single time, TW2 showed up in the Quick Resume tab (which Series consoles received a download for).Game -> Pause Menu -> Shut down -> Start up -> Another App -> Game- Same as above. Then on the third day when I started TW2, it quick resumed Weirdly enough, I recall not playing the game 2 days one time and instead switching to Netflix and YT. Game -> Home -> Another App -> Shut down -> Start up -> Game - More often than not it did not work despite the tag "Quick Resume" popping up on the top-right corner.Game -> Home -> Another App -> Home -> Game - Works. However, I also noticed that the feature did not always work as expected (and I was told that Power mode for when I shut the console down has no bearing on it). Not until early last month did I use and discover the joy of the eponymous feature with the One X enhanced version of The Witcher 2 on XSX. Note: The titles discussed below are installed on my external SSD (1TB 860 Evo).
