4/20/2023 0 Comments Yasu boston![]() Edit: I sold one set for $150 the other day (9/2015), sold Nana and Hachiko extras for $35/ea. I don't see them around much, I saw one sell (Yasu, and Hachi, I think?) for $40/ea on ebay after a small bidding war about a year ago. In any case, it was a good thing I knew they were released or I may have missed them. I don't know if they made less of them, or that it was thought they wouldn't sell well. Miso Soup at Yasu 'Yasu is located on the corner on Beacon Street across from Lady Grace in the Coolidge Corner area of Brookline.They offer Korean BBQ that you can cook right at your table. I couldn't get them through my usual sources. I remember when this was released it was kind of hard to find. I like how they made them with big heads/little bodies instead of making it too literal. There is only one menu 17 course Omakase sushi (chef's choice tasting menu), wherein Chef Yasu creates a daily menu based on the freshest and seasonal fish sourced from Japan. 'I want to bring the Japanese Sea of Umami to LA' - Chef Yasu. This week we are having a ceramics course by one of the best Its an honor to get hands on training from. Works out a heck of a lot better than Killua's hair from Hunter x Hunter. ![]() You can tell a lot of thought went into how to approach his spikey hair, and the decision was a row of spikes standing up, and the rest stuffed shaped plush. does he have eyes under there? Guess you need to own him to find out XD SOLD Shin! He looks like a girl, doesn't he? He's got awesome plaid pants, shoes with fringe, Vivienne Westwood necklace, lip piercing and load of earrings. I think it's a common problem, as I have a double of him and they're both the same. pretty darn cute! The plastic on his shades tends to separate from the cloth underneath, but nothing some fabric glue wouldn't set straight. I like how his eyes are so clear and his eyebrows are a bit darker than his hair color. I'm reminded that sometimes plush can go in the wrong direction with spikey hair, a la Tasuki from Fushigi Yugi. It doesn't match with the set quite as well, though of course if you got plush from the series you'd need to collect her as she's one of the main characters. She is super cute, though I kind of wish they didn't give her the dog tail/ears. (ALL NANAs SOLD! No more of this cutie! A ) Hachi, the dog. I feel like this is also the kind of plush that you could hang in your car window and people that didn't even know what it was or what it was from would still like it. She's even got her earrings and a little belt! Her boots/coat have a plastic coating on them, but they're still perfect. ![]() I really love how they did the eyes, and that they were stitched. The menu is Ouchi's choice of 18 impeccably fresh pieces of edomae sushi for $80 per person, which can include Striped Jack from Kyoto, Hay Smoked Bonito from Japan, Uni from Boston and Hokkaido, Ikura from Alaska and Mackerel from Norway. Served only just-warm, the vinegar-seasoned rice is draped with superlative elections of fish, made to order right in front of you and served a single bite at a time. Seasonal ingredients are prepared at the sushi bar and served immediately for maximum flavour and freshness, for a true omakase experience. In short, Yasu is all about capturing the essence of sushi. He uses classical methods to draw out the umami of seafood, with fish that is freshly sliced and placed atop warm, loose rice then brushed with a touch of nikiri soy for a perfectly balanced bite. Yasu took this opportunity to return to the roots of sushi, in which simplicity was the key ingredient in bringing out the taste of the sea. The city's first sushi-only omakase restaurant, Yasu's edict is simple - "In a global world where borders are becoming seamless, Toronto can now have access to the freshest seafood like what we have in Japan. Tucked in a narrow white room on Harbord Street, Osaka-raised chef-owner Yasuhisa Ouchi and his team of chefs serve glistening sushi, one piece at a time, to 10 guests seated at a sleek marble-topped bar.
